Yep, here I am…  Going to Montana with my dad for a couple days next week.

It’s raining here constantly, although I guess the same is true in Calgary so I’m not missing anything by being here!  And I am learning SQL so being home is a nice way to not get distracted by, well, being home.  I’d like to think I’m more productive when I’m not distracted by a van, a car, a few bikes, a woodworking shop, and yes, many skis!

Of course, my ability to learn SQL may be hampered by all the eating!

So, goodbye, Fugro!  Tomorrow is my last day, and then it’s off to join the Langseth after a brief rest at “home”, which involves not being at home very much…  I would / should write this tomorrow, but fat chance of that, I’ll be busy at work handing in my last bits of Fugro-ness and then probably being escorted out the door by some security goon. (I’m joking on that point, Norwegian companies don’t even understand the concept of a security goon, let along actually implementing one!)  Then I’m heading out for a farewell dinner with some friends.  And after that, yeah, if you haven’t seen The Rum Diary, come to Oslo tomorrow night and we can re-enact it for you!

So, the next time I write in this thing I’ll be back in Canada, or at least back on the “right” side of the Atlantic.

Alright, so I tried this site (i.e. treeskier.ca) as a wiki site where people could come to add ski tours and other cool ski information – like a ski site for the people.  Yeah, commie of me.  Didn’t work, just filled up with spam and other crap, most likely created by some form of e-robots.  At least I hope it was e-robots, otherwise I might become cynical about how people spend their time! 

Anyway, there will be more useful posts (maybe, I think that probably depends on your point of view) on here in the future.  Right now, I’m sitting in a hotel room in Oslo, Norway, and wishing I was skiing and not working.  Ok, maybe not really working, not at this moment anyway!
